Matthew Warren joined Carmen D. Caruso Law in January 2026 after serving for two years as a law clerk for a Chicago commercial litigation boutique. He has extensive experience drafting and reviewing pleadings, briefs and motions for both plaintiffs and defendants. He has also participated in depositions and prepared written discovery requests as well as researched topics in commercial and business litigation.
Warren received his J.D., and Certificate in International and Comparative Law from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2025 and his undergraduate degree in Classics, magna cum laude, in June 2022 from Lawrence University in Appleton, WI. Warren studied abroad in Athens, Greece as part of his undergraduate work. He worked in the Greater Chicago Legal Clinic as part of its Environmental and Energy Law Clinic. He also served as associate editor of the Journal of Environmental and Energy Law while at Chicago-Kent College of Law.
While in law school, Matthew was a recipient of the CALI Award for Genocide and Crimes Against Humanity and was an Oralist in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.
Matthew is admitted to practice in Illinois and is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, and the Chicago Council of Lawyers.
