Carmen D. Caruso will serve as moderator and a panelist for the American Bar Association webinar discussing “Jury Selection and Jury Argument in Divisive Cases in Our Divisive Times”. The program will explore strategies for jury selection and argument framing in hot-button cases in a sharply divided country. The webinar will discuss several issues including:

  • What is the goal?  To overcome or exploit diverse perceptions?
  • Effective voir dire to address implicit bias
  • Modifying trial strategy to accommodate generational differences
  • Increased vilification of corporate defendants and wealth
  • Do focus groups help?
