Carmen D. Caruso Law Firm, a top tier franchise law firm, is proud to announce that attorney Xiaoyin Cao is now a Franchise Times Legal Eagle in 2023, joining Carmen Caruso, who was named to the Legal Eagle Hall of Fame in 2015.
Xiaoyin was born and raised in China and is a native speaker of Mandarin, with law degrees in both the U.S. and China. She advises both franchisors and franchisees, and independent franchisee associations, on all aspects of franchise law and their related business law problems. Xiao also works closely with Carmen to prepare cases for trial, and increasingly plays a lead role in managing complex litigation and arbitrations.
“Xiao has been with us since she was still in law school, and it has been a pleasure to watch her come into her own as a successful young lawyer with an unlimited future”, says Carmen Caruso, who adds that Xiao always impresses every client that she works with.
Carmen D. Caruso Law Firm continues to represent individual and multi-unit franchisees; dealers or their independent associations in major brands; or start-ups in litigation, arbitration, business counseling and negotiations intended to avoid litigation or arbitration; and in early 2023, Xiaoyin Cao traveled to China and is actively developing an international practice working with Chinese attorneys through her network.
Franchise Times published Xiao’s thoughts on becoming a Legal Eagle in the April 2023 issue, and you can read her comments here.
The Legal Eagle moniker was created in 2004 to recognize the “movers and shakers” of the franchise bar. Each year, the Franchise Times announces its list of Legal Eagles that is created from nominations and recommendations from clients, peers, and other legal professionals.
