
Bill Whitner joined Carmen D. Caruso Law Firm upon graduating law school and is now a member of the Federal Trial Bar in the Northern District of Illinois, signifying his significant trial experience and his immense value to our clients.
Bill focuses on our core practice (franchise and dealership litigation) but has wide experience in other complex commercial cases, as well as employment, professional liability, and mass tort cases.
Bill represents our clients in state and federal courts in Illinois and nationally, as well as in mediation and arbitration, providing strategic legal solutions tailored to their legal objectives.
With a comprehensive understanding of litigation from pre-suit strategy through trial, Bill has successfully handled disputes across multiple jurisdictions. He is experienced in case assessment, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial advocacy, ensuring his clients receive strong, results-oriented representation.
A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Bill earned a double major in Political Science and United States History before obtaining his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2019 and is licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (2019) and its Trial Bar (2025) highlighting his courtroom capabilities.
Bill is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, and the American Bar Association, staying actively engaged in the legal community and continuing to build on his experience in litigation.
Dedicated to delivering effective legal solutions, he works closely with clients to align litigation strategies with their personal or business objectives. His experience across multiple practice areas allows him to take a proactive, problem-solving approach to complex disputes.
Outside of his practice, Bill enjoys spending time with his wife and their young son.
