Independent Franchisee Associations are a fact of life in modern franchising – but some independent associations are dramatically more effective than others recruiting members, addressing issues, staying “on message” and effecting the changes that the franchisees seek.
Carmen D. Caruso Law Firm has created or represented existing independent franchisee associations for numerous clients in disparate industries including manufacturing, retailing, health care, quick service restaurants, and automobile aftermarkets. Our most significant successes have resulted from active representation of associations and their members in litigation and arbitrations.
We also counsel that the creation of an association is not a panacea. Some franchise or dealership relationships cannot be salvaged. In those circumstances we have advised groups of similarly-situated franchisees or dealers they are best served by taking action themselves not creating an association.
Experience counts. Carmen D. Law Firm has the right experience in counselling associations and their members and in representing them when the issues reach boiling point.
