Brooke Cieplik is a law clerk with the Carmen D. Caruso Law Firm, joining in June 2021. She is a third-year law student at DePaul University College of Law. Brooke assists the firm’s attorneys through all phases of litigation.
Before attending law school at DePaul University, Brooke went to Illinois State University, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Legal Studies. While at Illinois State, Brooke began exploring her interests in the legal field. She interned with the McLean County Foreclosure Mediation Clinic, where she worked closely with persons in foreclosure to help prepare for mediations with bank lenders. Helping people through difficult times inspired Brooke to pursue becoming an attorney.
After receiving her undergraduate degree, Brooke relocated to Chicago and began law school at DePaul University and has found an express interest in trial work and litigation. She has worked in construction litigation and OSHA compliance, gaining experience with administrative law, contract disputes, and other injuries. In addition, she was a member of her school’s Civil Litigation Clinic, where she worked on a trial involving fraud and breach of contract. Brooke is also a member of DePaul’s Business and Commercial Law Journal.
