Jamie L. North
Attorney
Jamie L. North joins the Carmen D. Caruso Law Firm as an attorney where she focuses on commercial litigation including franchise, dealership and distribution disputes and legal malpractice cases.
A 2011 graduate of DePaul University College of Law, North previously served as a Law Clerk for Carmen Caruso, where she gained considerable exposure to multi-state franchise disputes and various contract and fraud claims. As a law clerk, North performed complex legal research, drafted pleadings and assisted in trial preparation for cases up before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
During law school, North also served as Extern, Student General Counsel at Northwestern Memorial Hospital where she was responsible for reviewing hospital practices and policy and making recommendations based on her findings. North’s areas of focus included health law, real estate law, and employment law. Previously, North was a law clerk at Badesch Abramovitch, a family law practice dedicated to helping clients through divorce, adoption, and custody proceedings.
Education
North received a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law and a Health Law Certificate in 2011. North was a health law fellow, a student mentor, and a member of DePaul’s Student Bar Association. North earned a Bachelor of Science Degree, summa cum laude, in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration from Western Illinois University.
